Apply for DSA at Clementi Town Secondary School from 6 May to 2 June 2026. The scheme lets students gain secondary school entry based on talents in STEM, leadership, performing arts, and sports.

Introduced in 2004, the Direct School Admission (DSA) scheme provides students with the opportunity to seek admission to a secondary school, based on a diverse range of specific academic and non-academic achievements and talents that they can demonstrate beyond the PSLE. 

Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent. 

Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school, and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from year 1 – 4.

DSA categories and selection criteria at Clementi Town Secondary School

DSA Category

*Criteria

STEM – STEM (Science and Technology)

  • Very Good conduct 

  • Demonstrate special talents in Robotics or Computing (e.g. robot design and programming, app coding, micro-controller programming)  

  • Represented school and achieved accolades in Robotics/Computing-related competitions (e.g. National Junior Robotics Competition)

  • Preferred to have held leadership position(s) in Robotics/Computing-related clubs or societies (e.g. Robotics Club, Infocomm Club)

  • Have some background in Scientific Investigations or coding (applicants may wish to submit and showcase a portfolio of the Science experiments or computing programmes which they have created)

Leadership and Uniformed Groups

National Cadet Corps (NCC) Land

National Civil Defence Cadet Corps (NCDCC)

National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC)

  • Very Good conduct 

  • Strong leadership qualities (tracks records such as leadership role(s) at cohort or school level) 

  • Led in VIA projects in school and community

Performing Arts – Symphonic Band

  • Very Good Conduct

  • Positive attitude, commitment and determination to develop their leadership and instrumental skills

  • Experience in playing a Wind Band instrument (Winds, Brass, Double Bass or Percussion)

Performing Arts – Drama Club

  • Very Good conduct 

  • Possesses interest and passion for Theatre and the Arts

  • Positive attitude, commitment and determination to develop their drama/acting skills

Performing Arts – Modern Dance (Mixed)

  • Very Good Conduct

  • Possess interest and passion for Dance

  • Positive attitude, commitment and determination to develop their dance and leadership skills

  • Represented school in Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) and/or external performances or competitions

Sports – Wushu (Mixed)

  • Very Good Conduct

  • Possess interest and passion for Wushu

  • Represented school in National School Games (NSG) for Wushu

Sports – Volleyball (Boys)
